Monitoring of adult Bagworm Moths following a good program of spraying with Bt Biological insecticides targeting the larval stage will help in management of this pest. Bagworm larvae feed on Arborvitae, Juniper, Willow, Maple, Locust, Sycamore, Elm, Box Elder, White Pine, and Spruce. Place traps at a density of 2 - 4 traps per acer in areas of infestation approximately 4 -5ft off the ground. Traps are placed 10 - 15ft away from tress or bushes that need protection. Traps are placed in the field around the first of August. Bagworm can occur in the Eastern United States from New England to Nebraska and south through Texas, lure lasts full trapping season.
